Finely crafting soundscapes that evoke vivid mental images, Ottawa art-rockers Pony Girl are set to release their debut album, Show Me Your Fears, on September 28. And as a special treat the six-piece band has teamed up with Mixtape to give you a pre-release listen to the whole musical experience on our website!
Showing off the band’s ability to push the boundaries that define “pop-rock” all eight tracks on the album create something inherently cinematic (minus the moving pictures, of course). Listeners will hear unique boy/girl harmonies, delicate guitar licks, varied instrumentation, intense rhythms and tight arrangements that work together to create a fluid ebb and flow of emotional responses.
If you want to check them out in person, the band will be playing the album live in Ottawa at their album release party, happening September 28 at La Petite Mort Gallery.
