Lowell announces details about debut album

Electro-pop artist Lowell is an emerging force in the Canadian music scene as she tackles women’s rights, LGBTQ rights and other heavy topics while laying down beats that demand dancing. Her debut album We Loved Her Dearly comes out September 16 via Arts & Crafts. The album name makes sense, going hand in hand with her debut EP I Killed Sarah V. First single “I Love You Money” is available as a free download.

New single and remix EP from PS I Love You

Kingston duo PS I Love You are gearing up for the July 22 release of For Those Who Stay. They’ve created the ultimate music nerd scavenger hunt, hiding copies of the new album on cassette around the country. For those who didn’t find a copy, there are lots of other goodies to tide you over. First off there’s the new single “Friends Forever”.  Also, their friends Young Galaxy, Teen Daze and Prince Century have created remixes of the title track from the new album. The Remix EP can be downloaded for free via Noisetrade.

New Swears release another fun party video

Ottawa’s New Swears know how to have a good time as evidenced by their ridiculous music videos. The video for “Candy Land” from their new album Junkfood Forever, Bedtime Whatever out in August via Bachelor Records. The video features just the right amount of fire, fake blood and fun.

Epic new video from Monomyth

Seth Smith of Dog Day directed the video for “Patsy”, a new song from Monomyth’s album Saturnalia Regalia! out July 22 via Mint Records. The video features a pretty hilarious wedding dance scene with disco balls, sunglasses and cats. Now all I want to see is Monomyth play their album release show on July 25 at Oasis in Halifax dressed in suits with a giant disco ball.
