May, you’re done. It’s the month that starts with dumb memes and puns and then kind of drags on forever. We’ll leave you with one quality meme and tweet combo before moving on. Long live Carly Rae Jepsen. Speaking of Carly Rae, she dropped a new banger “Cut to the Feeling” and it’s on our monthly playlist.

Alright, we’re done.
We’ve got a bunch of good stuff in this playlist: Land of Talk is back with a new album, Life After Youth, Elizabeth Powell’s first release since 2010’s Cloak and Cipher. Powell is in Broken Social Scene, another band that’s back with new music for the first time in forever. The Toronto super-mega-group released “Hug of Thunder” this month, the title track for a new album out in July. While we’re on that note, Toronto post-punk band Do Make Say Think released their first album since 2009. If you did a Venn diagram of Broken Social Scene and Do Make Say Think, there’d be a couple humans in the middle.
We’ll let you dive into the playlist below. If you like this mix, be sure to give us a follow on Spotify so you can creep what we’re listening to and know when we put other playlists together.
