Mixtape was in Quebec City for Festival d’été and saw Classified, Wu-Tang Clan and Whiz Khalifa on Friday night but happened to stumble upon another, smaller festival happening next to our hotel.
Festival OFF de Quebec had a bunch of mostly Quebec bands playing around the city from July 3 to 6. Yamantaka // Sonic Titan were supposed to play but at the last minute they were replaced by Toronto’s Hooded Fang.
The band have been busy touring in support of Gravez, their third full-length album released earlier this year. We managed to catch the band performing “Wasteland” – a track from said album – on video. Apologies for the distorted audio; to enjoy the band without any distortion be sure to catch their lo-fi, sun-bleached, energetic live set.
