Soundcheck: New music from Fucked Up, Whitehorse and body butter from Kevin Drew

Punk band Fucked Up announced their new album Glass Boys comes out June 3 on Arts & Crafts. The first single “Paper The House” can be streamed via Arts & Crafts.

Today is a big day for Kevin Drew. The Broken Social Scene co-founder released his second solo album Darlings and Kevin Drew’s Tequila Lime Body Butter became available for purchase. “Body Butter” also happens to be the name of the first song on Darlings. However, we recommend not trying to handle vinyl if your hands are coated in body butter.

Yesterday Stars announced a show in Montreal this July opening for the Killers. Today they let fans know, with caps lock on, that more things are coming out the Stars pipeline soon.

Islands are currently trekking across North America on a tour that kicked off in Halifax last week.  They have a new music video out for the song “Shotgun Vision” featuring lots of live footage from a show in Pioneertown, California.  The tiny town was built in the 1940s as a set for wild west films in.

Whitehorse, the band name of married duo Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland, have a new French EP coming out on April 1st, via Six Shooter Records. Éphémère sans repère features songs from their debut album and The Fate of the World Depends On This Kiss along with the new song “Un Canadien errant”. Songwriter and producer Pierre Marchand handled translation duties on the record.
