Halifax Pop Explosion announces next wave

Posters popped up around Halifax last night with the next wave of artists and comedians for Halifax Pop Explosion. They join the already announced acts of Hey Rosetta!, PUP, White Lung, The Barr Brothers, Mo Kenney and Symphony Nova Scotia as well as comedian Cameron Esposito.

The festival takes place in venues all over Halifax from October 19-22. Thanks to Mixtape contributor Mike McGrath for venturing out on a gloomy and rainy July day to share a photo of the lineup on Instagram. It features a handful of bands, old and new, with Halifax roots including Holy Fuck and Tuns. Basia Bulat is once again on the Polaris Music Prize shortlist and joins fellow shortlisters PUP and White Lung on the HPX bill.
