It’s an annual tradition for the In the Dead of Winter lineup to drop every Halloween. I mean, the whole dead thing makes it a perfect time of year to deliver music news. The mostly folk festival takes place in the North End of Halifax every January (this year January 19-21) and brings a little bit of brightness to a dark, cold, post-Christmas world. Bands coming to town for the cozy fest include The Wooden Sky, Jennifer Castle, Jim Bryson and Julie Doiron. There’s a little bit of a shakeup in location this year as well with all shows taking place at The Timber Lounge and The Seahorse Tavern. Additionally, Good Robot hosts two song-writer circles on Thursday and Friday.
